The rod seal is the most critical seal on any type of fluid power equipment preventing leakage of fluid from within the cylinder to the outside. Excessive leakage through the rod seal can reduce equipment performance and also in extreme cases can cause. environmental issues.They are available as single-acting and double-acting seals, but are ideally used as single-acting seals. A wide range of compound and profile configurations is available to meet the user´s specific application profile. They typically interact with wiper elements in the cylinder head sealing system. FASS offers a wide range of hydraulic rod seals for both single-acting and double-acting systems. Some of them include a unique profiled NBR energised polyurethane seals, Specifically designed three element seal for the heavy duty application comprising of an O-ring energiser, Polyurethane shell and a polyacetal anti-extrusion ring, Composite Step Seals and widely used multi-lip seals.
