Shell mould Casting Process: Molten metal is poured into disposal sand- based mould during the metal casting procedure known as shell mould casting, which is similar to sand casting. However, when using a shell mould casting technique, a sand-resin resin mixture is applied around a pattern to make a thin-walled shell like the mould. The pattern—a piece of metal in the form of the intended part—is used repeatedly to create shell moulds. Higher production rates are possible with reusable patterns, and complicated geometries can be cast using disposable moulds. 

Investing Casting Process: The investment casting process involves a wax pattern coated with a refractory material to make a mould, which is then melted away before pouring molten metal into the cavity to solidify. Investment casting, also referred to as lost wax casting, is a precision metal casting process that, when compared to other manufacturing processes like sand casting, produces highly accurate and meticulously detailed castings.
